Tina Warren, President
Tina Warren is a global communications facilitator with senior experience in all facets of corporate communications strategy, including media relations, issues and crisis management, government and community relations. Prior to creating her own firm she was Vice President, Strategic Communications for the Hospital for Sick Children where she led a government relations campaign to eliminate a major deficit by significantly enhancing funding from the federal and provincial governments. She also teamed with the CEO to facilitate the creation of the hospital's five year strategic plan. Her leadership in media, employee, web and research communications enhanced the national and international awareness of SickKids as a global leader in paediatric care, while strengthening its position in the community as a system leader and collaborator.
Prior to Warren's leadership role in healthcare communications, she was Director Global Communications for Nortel Networks where she was corporate spokesperson during a tumultuous period in the telecom sector. Her extensive experience in crisis communications also extended to the consumer brands sector, where she held roles as Director of Public Affairs at Coca-Cola in Canada and Coca-Cola Great Britain. In London, she was responsible for crisis communications planning during a major product contamination in 1999.
Warren has a strong reputation for getting superior results with media and government because of her former roles as a television producer for City TV, in community relations for Ontario Hydro and as an advisor to the Ontario Government. At DuPont Canada, she managed public affairs and led the first community involvement planning process to set emission reduction targets nationally, developing their first environmental annual report. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a BA in English and History, and an MA in Journalism. At WarrenStreet she advises clients on creating successful government and communications strategies.
